Basketball Centre of Youth in Olomouc, Czech Republic

Hello and welcome to our website!

The Basketball Centre of Youth (BCY), a part of the Sport Club of Palacký University in Olomouc, the largest sport body in Olomouc region, has been working with sporting children and youth since 1994. We are based in a University sports hall in Lazce, close to Sigma football stadium.

Our boys come and play in a complete structure of teams. We run a grassroots programme at six basic schools with boys aged 6/7-9/10 in an “Olomouc school league” going on to the first minibasket categories U10, U11, U12, and U13 in regional competitions. The U14 and U15 school youth as well as the teams of U16 cadets and U18 juniors take part in Czech league competitions. The men’s first league team manifests our basketball endeavours with focus on quality sports training, education, and, above all, lots of fun spent on and off the court.

A good number of BCY graduates have played the highest Czech competitions. We are proud of those who made it for to the Czech national teams as well as those who have continued and still play for fun. All our teams participate regularly in home and foreign tournaments as well as friendlies.
